EWO Announcement

EWO is proud to announce the appointment of Elaine Fenner to the role of President of EWO as of June 9th’s Annual General Meeting.  Elaine was elected for a two-year term at the 2020 virtual AGM.

Elaine’s background as Director of Experiential Learning for University of Guelph is the perfect complement to EWO’s expanded mandate beyond co-op and other forms of work-integrated learning to include Experiential Learning.

Her former position as Manager of WIL at Seneca College also provides a solid foundation as to what strong EL, WIL and co-op looks like at both a University and a College in Ontario.

Elaine comments that “serving as President-Elect for the last two years with Ross Johnson as President along with a strong team of Board members, we were able to move EWO forward with our expanded mandate. I am looking forward to continuing our growth and impact as an association that supports, promotes and advocates for Experiential Learning, Co-op and WIL in Ontario”.

EWO is provincial non-profit comprised of post-secondary publicly funded institutions in Ontario that offer co-operative education, work-integrated learning, and experiential learning. EWO is comprised of 26 member organizations from Ontario’s Universities and Colleges with 290 members. EWO’s vision is to shape the future of Ontario’s economy and workforce through leadership in post-secondary Experiential and Work-Integrated Learning.
